Join us for Office Hours in East Somerville this weekend

THRUSDAY, APRIL 3, 2025

Dear Cambridge and Somerville Constituents —

Just a quick note to invite you to join us for Office Hours!

I will be joined by Senator Pat Jehlen, Somerville City Councilor Matt McLaughlin, and Somerville School Committee Member Emily Ackman at Connexion, 149 Broadway, in East Somerville this Saturday.

All are welcome to visit us from 10 am until 11 am. Bring your questions and thoughts about state government, our response to Trump, and/or local issues.

Afterward, I plan to make my way to Boston Common for the Hands Off! resistance rally. Folks will gather at the Parkman Bandstand circa 11 am and then march to City Hall Plaza, where the Dropkick Murphys will do an acoustic set.

I got to see the Dropkick Murphys over St. Patrick's Day weekend in Boston and they are pretty incredible (and not at all shy about calling out Trump/Musk fascism).

If you can't make it out to meet us on Saturday, no worries!

My standing policy is that I will meet with, talk on the phone, or do a Zoom with any constituent regarding any issue of concern. To set up some time for one-on-one conversation, just email me at the State House via [email protected] or call my office at (617) 722-2230.

Speaking of my office, I am pleased to report I have a new office this year! It is in Room 167 of the State House, in the West Wing, with a view of the golden dome. Reach out if you'd care to meet with me or my staff in our new office and we can set that up, too.

Anyway, I hope you and your loved ones are holding up during this extraordinarily difficult time for our nation and our society.

These days have been filled with many tasks and challenges for me and my staff — from responding to ICE raids in our community, advocating to the MBTA for capital improvements in our district, and meeting with constituents to discuss priorities, to working with the Healey-Driscoll Administration to advance a social housing pilot program, attending various community meetings and events, and meeting with the House Ways and Means Chair to advocate for local and statewide budget priorities.

As always, please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns on these items or any other matter of interest to you. Hope to see you Saturday!

Yours in service,

Rep. Mike Connolly
